PERFECT ONE FOCUS Smooth Cleansing Balm

Works great, really brought out my pores while it was on my face, then made them look clean when I was done. Was fairly easy to remove - it turns like a foamy grey when you start adding water to get it washed off. My face felt squeaky clean afterwards!

Amazing for sebaceous filaments and blackheads. Make sure to massage well on dry skin first then rinse off with water. So satisfying to get all of the grittiness out of my pores. Then follow up with a separate water based cleanser to finish up the double cleansing routine. Better than “Heartleaf Anua” or “Clean It Zero” and similar - I’ve used so many kinds of cleansers and haven’t found a better one for sebaceous filaments yet.

PERFECT ONE FOCUS Deep Black Cleansing Balm isn't lying about the color. It is a deep deep black and definitely feels odd being rubbed into your skin. The black color appears to come from charcoalI find the product a bit oily and waxy when I apply it to my dry face. It isn't unpleasant and verges on creamy though not quite. Surprisingly, it rinses off very easily leaving no oily residue. My face feels clean and smooth. I like it quite a bit though both my sister and daughter tried it and neither liked it as much as me.The flip top lid is nice as well. It makes it easy to open and close. The listing recommends using a cherry sized amount, but I definitely use less than a pea sized and it's plenty. I can't imagine using more than that.I ran the enormous ingredient list, I mean really enormous, through the incidecoder database which analyses ingredient lists for skincare products. Many of the ingredients were described as "goodie", there were also many that were not yet in their database and a few essential oils, like Rosa Damascena Flower Oil which they label icky. It appears to be an irritant for some people.The SkinSort database found a few other concerns specifically that the product may cause skin irritation in some people, may worsen oily skin, exacerbate issues for those specifically with eczema, acne or rosacea.I did not have any of these issues though.This is one of the first Japanese skincare products I've tried though I have tried many Korean ones. I am quite happy with it and will definitely use it and try others.

This does a great job melting away waterproof mascara, layers of makeup and generally great for a face massage even. The only drawback is that it's dark so as you're melting away your makeup, you have to go by the feel of your eyelashes for instance to know that it is actually working to melt things off your face. Great to use as a two-part skin cleansing, first to melt off makeup followed by a cleanser to wash off that melted makeup. I took a star-rating off because I wish this came in a shave-style tub that you can just click to get product out of instead of putting your hands into the tub. Also best if used on a dry face in my opinion or very lightly damp (but not wet).
